First Aid Beauty

Redesigning the packaging for First Aid Beauty’s Ultra Repair Firming Collagen Cream. The goal was to move from a design that got lost on shelves to one that feels fresh, youthful, and unmistakable.

old packaging

The original packaging was dark, cluttered, and impossible to find. Dense French text, silver stripes, and no visual hierarchy, the key ingredients were buried, and the star logo got lost.

clinique clean, dermatologist-approved feel — but their packaging leans safe and clinical. I borrowed the trust factor while pushing for more energy.
l'oreal bold, accessible, and shelf-dominant. Their use of color and contrast showed me how to make a product impossible to ignore.
olay clean, clinical, but blends in. I took what worked (clarity) and left what didn't (getting lost on shelves).

design elements

color

A lighter, fresher blue base, paired with vibrant yellow and orange accents for energy and shelf contrast, so it pops.

typography

Streamlined copy by removing French text and minimizing clutter. Bold, clean type communicates key ingredients instantly.

visual language

The brand’s star logo becomes a dynamic repeating motif, adding rhythm and recognition. Product photography on the sides showcases the cream itself.

before + after

stands out · clean hierarchy · ingredients front and center
