THE COLLAB
My project centered around introducing people to Liquid Death, a water company that sells its products in aluminum cans to combat plastic pollution—with a fun and engaging twist. For a collaboration opportunity, I chose to partner Liquid Death with Sanrio, blending their iconic cute and memorable characters with Liquid Death’s bold brand identity. The goal was to create an exclusive product line that would attract new audiences while highlighting Liquid Death’s mission.
To bring this vision to life, I designed a pop-up event using SketchUp and created a collaboration book in InDesign, detailing the purpose and creative direction behind the partnership. I designed as well exclusive Saniro inspired Liquid Death cans.
I designed a collaboration book to highlight the partnership between Liquid Death and Sanrio, blending their distinct aesthetics. The cover and back feature Liquid Death’s signature skull engulfed in flames, softened by Sanrio’s playful pastel color palette—creating a striking yet charming contrast that embodies both brands.
Content-wise, I aimed to have fun by incorporating bold photos and imagery while showcasing each brand, my inspiration, and the process of the pop-up event between the two brands. Additionally, I created an exclusive line featuring Sanrio characters on mini Liquid Death cans that people could keep as souvenirs.
On the right, you’ll find the exclusive mini Liquid Death cans I designed, featuring beloved Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Keroppi, Pompompurin, Cinnamonroll, and My Melody. Each can incorporates the character’s signature colors while staying true to Liquid Death’s bold branding.
Flanking this section are SketchUp renderings of the pop-up event, illustrating how these limited-edition cans would be distributed in an immersive, eye-catching setting.
